What is Neuro-ophthalmology?
Neuro-ophthalmology is a subspecialty of both neurology and ophthalmology which requires specialized training in treatment of disorders for the eye, brain, nerves and muscles. Did you know that half of the brain is utilized for vision-related activities such as eye movement?
Who and when should seek help?
A patient should see a Neuro-ophthalmologist if you are experiencing poor eyesight, loss of vision or decreased vision in one or both eyes, changes in the field of vision, physical change to the eye, changes in color vision and other vision impairment problems.

Patients with diabetes, thyroid disease, rheumatological disease are also advised to seek help from Neuro-ophthalmologist for vision disorders. Furthermore, anyone with a family history of glaucoma, cataract, macular degeneration or retinal detachment are also encouraged to visit a Neuro-ophthalmologist.

The Neuro-Eye Center comprises of a team of neurologist, neuro-radiologist, neuro-surgeon and pediatric neurologist. General Ophthalmology treatment for Diabetic Eye evaluation, Cataract Evaluation and cataract surgery, Traumatic Eye injuries and surgery are also offered at the Neuro-Eye Center. Neuro-ophthalmology clinic offers treatments for visual problems related to the nervous system such as optic nerve disorders, visual field impairment, eyelid defects, cataract surgery and many more for all ages of adults and paediatrics.
