Rheumatology is a sub-speciality devoted to diagnosis and therapy of rheumatic diseases. Consultants who specialise in rheumatology are called rheumatologists. Rheumatologists deal mainly with clinical problems involving joints, soft tissues, autoimmune diseases, and heritable connective tissue disorders.
